This article will show the procedure of setting up a promotion for when a customer buys 2 items from different lists, they recieve 10% off the products. For this example we will be offering the customer 10% off when they purchase a Dog Lead and Collar.
Part 1 - Promotion List Setup
1) Login as an Admin and open your Admin Panel
2) From the Admin Panel, Open the Pricing and Promotions Section
3) Click "Promotion List"
4) Press New to set up a new promotion list.
5) Enter a code and description for this list. The Type must be set to QualifyingList for this example. Product or Category should be set to Product.
6) Press"Choose Product"
7) To filter Products, First add the product code range In the "From Code" and "to Code" boxes. for example, Entering from "ANC" to "ANC9999" will filter the products list to show only Ancol products. The "Name OR Description" box can be used to filter these resuilts further. Type "Nylon Collar" to show only nylon collars from Ancol. Press enter to submit your search.
8) Select which products in the range you want to add to this promotion. If you want to select the entire range, press the Select All Button.
9) Press Save Changes at the bottom of the window.
10) If you have more product ranges to add to the list, please repeat from Step 6. If not, press Save to save the list.
11) The second list now needs to be created. From the Promotion list Window, create another list and add the Ancol Nylon Leads to it.
Part 2 - Promotion set up
You should now have two promotion lists set up. This section will create a promotion using these 2 lists.
1) Open your Admin Panel again, and in Pricing and Promotions, select "Promotions"
2) Select New to begin creating a new promotion. Fill in the following settings:
Promotion code: Unique code to identify your promotion
Description: Description for promotion
From Date - To Date: When your promotion is set to start and end
3) Press Create
4) Find your new promotion in Promotions window and press the "Criteria" button
5) Press "New" in the Criteria Maintenance screen
6) In this window Enter the following:
Description: this is what the customer sees on the product page.
Free shipping promotion: Does this promotion give free shipping?
Voucher Promotion: Does this promotion use a voucher?
Calculate quantity Order Level or Line level: Order level is used when a promotion uses multiple different products. Line level is used when a promotion uses multiple of the same product.
A promotion badge can be displayed, and a choice of a ribbon with text, or a promotion image can be used. Ribbon text is limited to 10 characters.
Override special prices: Tick this if you want the promotion to override a customer's special pricing.
7) In the Choose Promotion Types box, Select Qualifying List
8) In the Product Qualifying List, Press Lookup for Qualifying List 1 and find your Collar promotion. Set Number of Matches to 1.
9) Press Lookup for Qualifying List 2 and find your Lead promotion. Set Number of Matches to 1.
10) Select "All customer" in customer type.
11) In the Choose Offer Type Box, Select Discount %. Allow Multiples must be unchecked, this is for free product promotions.
In the "Enter Discount % per quantity break" box, enter Quantity break 1 = 1, Discount % = 10.
12) Leave Offer Quantity Limit as 0.
13) Press Save to create your promotion.
14) On the Promotions Screen, Press "Update Promotion Product". This will update all products with promotions. After a few minutes, this will complete and your promotions will be live.
Part 3 - Items and checkout
In the product details page, your offer description will be shown:
In the Basket, the "Promotional Product" Flag Is displayed:
When the customer presses Proceed To Checkout" the discounts are displayed:
