This section describes the ODSNet Comments and Ratings

Introduction

Through our system your customers can review and comment on your products, this will provide you with valuable feedback and real world experiences with them. Through “Comments & Rating” you are able to actively monitor these interactions, also in situations that may require you to curate them to make sure your customers are only having to deal with genuine/valuable reviews.

To begin monitoring this data first head to the Admin area of your site, then select “Content Management”, then from the list select “Comments & Rating”.

You will now be in “Comments Rating Maintenance", if any of your products have been given a review or any news article commented on you will see it displayed in a table. Above the table to the right of the page you will see a search field, this will search through the “Rating Title” field of information in the table. Moving on to the table itself you will see will see going from left to right first we have “Type”, this will identify where this comment has come from, in the example image you will see all these comments/reviews have come from products, but with would note “News” if that had been its origin.

“Post Title”, this is the second column of the table, in the event that the comment has come from a product, you will see the product code of that item here, this will allow for you to easily identify the information provided and then be able to possibly use that review as reference for future decision related to said product. If it is a comment on an article the articles names will be displayed here.

“Ratings Title”, This will be the name of the comment. This will only be provided in the comments for products as it will allow clients to sum up their feelings in regards to the product, whether they be positive or negative, titles are not provided for those commenting on a news article and will simply show “No Title”.

“Product Rating”, another aspect of the page dedicated to products rather than news, with clients being able to “comment” on the quality of goods, they are also able to rate it in a system of 0-5 stars, here you will be shown the number of stars a product received, in the event the comment is from a news article there will be a hyphen (-) in stead of a number.

The last 3 columns of the table are taken up by “Edit”, used in the event a comment needs to be modified, i.e possibly to correct spelling or censoring language, “Details”, so that you can view all the information related to a comment not just the information displayed in the table, finally “Delete”, this is to be primarily used in the event a comment is considered spam or it could simply be highly inflammatory.
