Introduction

As of release 5.0.0 of ODSNet we have added the ability to implement videos directly into a products image gallery from external video sources, currently we only support this for YouTube.

To begin adding a video to a product, first you will need to find a relevant video, then you will need to take a copy of the URL for that video.

Once you have a copy of the URL go to the Admin area of your site, expand “Manage Products” and then select “Products”. On in Product Maintenance search and find the product you want to associate the video, then select the view media button.

On the Product Media page select the “External Video” tab, then press new, this will bring up a new in browser window, enter your videos URL and press “Save Changes”, this will have applied the video to the product.

If we now go to the products page you will now see in the products media gallery there is now a play button, press this and it will open another in browser window with the external video.
