Setting up a secure folder for SAP Documents
This document assumes IIS is running on the SAP server and is accessible locally.
1. Open IIS
2. Right Click Default Web Site, then Add Application…
3. Create a name for your folder, this can be the same as the Folder name. In the Physical Path field, select your document folder.
4. Click the application just created from the left hand pane, then click “IP Address and Domain Restrictions”
5. Click “Add Allow Entry” and specify the local IP address of the server that ODSNet is running on.
6. Now Click “Edit Feature Settings…”. Select Deny from the drop down box.
This Documents folder will now be accessible locally. For example, the documents in this example will be viewable at http://192.168.1.92/SAP_Documents/MyDocument.pdf, but only from the specified local IP address. This can be checked via a browser.
